The most common route is via Nankai Electric Railway.
- From Osaka City (Namba Station): Take the Nankai Koya Line (Express) from Nankai Namba Station to Kawachinagano Station (approx. 30 mins).
- From Kawachinagano Station: Exit the station and go to Bus Stop #3. Take the Nankai Bus bound for “Kongozan Ropeway-mae” (金剛山ロープウェイ前).
- Where to get off:
- Get off at “Kongozan Tozanguchi” (金剛山登山口) to start the main hiking trail. (Ride time: approx. 35 mins).
💡 Practical Tips for Visitors
- Gear: Wear sturdy sneakers or hiking boots. If you visit in winter (Jan-Feb), you must bring crampons (spikes for your shoes) as the trail becomes icy and slippery.
- The Stamp Card: Locals carry a card to stamp how many times they have climbed. Some legendary hikers have climbed it over 10,000 times!
